NDC Upper Regional Secretary Reaches Out To NPP Youth To Rally Behind JDM For President
The regional secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Upper East Region, Donatus Akamugre is entreating members of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to support former president and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama’s bid to become president again.
“The policy ideas proposed by the NDC’s flagbearer will elevate the suffering Ghanaians and most especially the NPP supporters … if the NDC is given the mandate come December 7,2024” he stated.
Speaking to the media, the NDC’s Regional Secretary disclosed that despite the NPP being in government, most of its members are facing untold hardships due to what he believes to be mismanagement by the government.
He, therefore wants Ghanaians including the sympathizers of the Nana Addo / Bawumia government to support Mr. Mahama, who he thinks has the competence and the ideas to turn things around for Ghanaians.
“We are ready to carry them on board. All of them, when we create an enabling environment, the NPP guys, most of them are suffering. But they don’t want to say it because their government is in power and will make them unpopular. They know that they are suffering more than the NDC because we are people that understand that we are in opposition. They should come and vote for a change in their lives,” he added.
Emphasizing on the 24-hour economy proposal, Donatus Akamugre said the policy is a comprehensive well thought-out policy that will transform the entire economy.
