Young Ladies Have Turned to Hookups Due to Rising Unemployment” – Solomon Anane

Solomon Anane, Communications Director of the United Party (UP), has linked Ghana’s rising unemployment levels among young people to what he described as an increase in young women turning to “hookups” as a means of survival.

Speaking on iKulcha TV and Radio Kulcha with Kwesi E Baako, Anane attributed the situation to the lack of employment opportunities facing young people in the country.

“Young ladies have now turned into hookups due to hikes in unemployment,” Anane said.

He argued that the growing unemployment crisis is creating difficult economic conditions for young people, particularly women, and pushing some into alternative ways of making a living.

Anane’s comments have sparked discussion about youth unemployment, economic hardship and the social consequences of limited job opportunities in Ghana.

The UP Communications Director maintained that addressing unemployment should be a priority in order to create sustainable opportunities for young people and reduce the economic pressures contributing to such trends.
