Let Ghanaians See Everything – Jackson Ahiable Calls for Live EOCO Trials

Political commentator Jackson Ahiable has called for arrests and trials conducted by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) to be telecast live, arguing that greater public visibility could promote transparency and accountability.

Speaking on iKulcha TV and Radio Kulcha with Kwesi E Baako, Ahiable said the public deserves to see how investigations, arrests and subsequent court proceedings are handled, particularly in cases that attract significant public interest.

He argued that live broadcasts could help reduce speculation, improve public confidence in the justice system and ensure that proceedings are subjected to greater scrutiny.

Ahiable’s comments come amid growing public discussions about the work of state investigative and anti-corruption institutions and the need for transparency in high-profile cases.

His proposal, if adopted, would represent a significant shift in how the public engages with major corruption and organised-crime cases in Ghana.
