Rev. Dr. CNN has described the celebration of Akwasidae by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in the United States as a significant opportunity to promote Ghana on the international stage.
Speaking on iKulcha TV and Radio Kulcha with Kwesi E Baako, Rev. Dr. CNN said the event should be seen as more than an Ashanti cultural gathering, stressing its broader significance for Ghana’s image and cultural identity.
“Otumfuo having Akwasidae in the USA is good branding for Ghana, not just Ashantis,” he said.
According to him, taking the Akwasidae celebration beyond Ghana provides an opportunity to showcase the country’s rich traditions, heritage and cultural values to an international audience.
He noted that the global visibility generated by Otumfuo and the Akwasidae celebration could contribute to Ghana’s cultural diplomacy and strengthen interest in the country.
Rev. Dr. CNN therefore encouraged Ghanaians to appreciate the wider national benefits of promoting Ghanaian traditions and cultural heritage abroad.
