Kwesi E Baako has challenged Koku Anyidoho’s comments on the use of insults in Ghanaian politics, arguing that the trend did not begin with media personality Kelvin Taylor.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Baako recalled hearing Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong use strong language in Ghanaian political discourse long before Taylor became prominent.
“Kelvin Taylor didn’t start politics of insults in Ghana. I first heard Kennedy Agyapong insulting in Ghana politics. Koku Anyidoho, didn’t you hear that?” Baako asked.
His comments come amid renewed debate over the tone of political discussions in Ghana and whether the use of insults and confrontational language has become increasingly common in the country’s political discourse.
His remarks directly challenged Anyidoho’s apparent attribution of the trend to Taylor, pointing instead to a longer history of heated political rhetoric involving prominent political figures.
