Michael Mensah known as Adekese in the music scene was born on in Tamale in the Northern Region. His early education began at Airforce Complex Primary School where the marching and drill music from the brass band already started grabbing the attention and love of the young kid.
This love for music would be held firm and quietly nurtured as the young Adekese later moved to Bethel Methodist Preparatory School in Takoradi. Moved to Accra where he attended Ministry of Health JSS.
He also attended schools like Kumasi High School and NIIT where he majored in multimedia.

Adekese hasnot had much exposure to the mainstream. He is one of the artists that is silently brimming and ready to shock Ghana and the world with his deep voice lyrics of social commentary.
He featured on Virgin Pozo’s hit track ‘Boo ne de’ in 2002. He also featured on the track ‘Kuhaa’ with Black Kat Gh and has also made some appearances on other lesser known songs.
