Kwesi E Baako has urged parents to pay closer attention to their children’s emotional well-being, particularly when they return from school in an unusual or unhappy mood.
Speaking on his show on iKulcha TV and Radio Kulcha while discussing the shooting incident involving Javits Frimpong, Kwesi E Baako emphasised the need for parents to make conscious efforts to understand what their children experience outside the home.
He explained that parents should not ignore or dismiss changes in their children’s moods but should take time to engage them in conversations and find out what might be troubling them.
Revealing his personal approach to parenting, he said he goes the extra mile to find out what has happened whenever his child returns home looking unhappy or moody.
According to him, such attention and open communication can help parents identify challenges their children may be facing, including bullying, intimidation or other unpleasant experiences at school.
He therefore encouraged parents to build trusting relationships with their children so they can feel comfortable sharing their problems rather than keeping them to themselves.
