Ghanaian politician and businessman Akwasi Addai Odike has criticised the country’s growing partisan political culture, arguing that access to opportunities and justice increasingly depends on political connections.
Speaking on iKulcha TV and Radio Kulcha, Odike said the principle of equal treatment under the law is being undermined by what he described as selective justice and political favouritism.
He argued that the dominance of partisan politics has created a system where “who you know” can matter more than merit, competence or fairness.
Odike has previously criticised Ghana’s governance system over what he described as selective justice and excessive political influence, calling for reforms to strengthen the rule of law and accountability.
He maintained that Ghana’s democratic development will remain limited unless political leaders put national interest ahead of party loyalty and ensure that citizens are treated equally regardless of their political affiliations.
