Kwesi E. Baako has raised concerns over media ethics and corporate credibility, questioning whether the pursuit of trends is overshadowing professionalism in Ghana’s broadcast space.
Speaking on his program on iKulcha TV and Radio Kulcha, Baako criticized what he described as “waywardness” associated with broadcaster Captain Smart.
He questioned whether the actions and style of presentation aimed at attracting attention and going viral are more important than protecting the credibility of the owners of TV3, operated by Media General.
Baako stressed that while bold commentary may draw audiences, it must not come at the expense of journalistic integrity and the reputation of media institutions. He warned that consistent controversial conduct could undermine public trust in established media brands.
