Alan Kyerematen’s Victory As Ghana’s Next President Is Possible – Hopeson Adorye Cites Benin as Inspiration

Former NPP member and leading member of Alan Kyerematen’s campaign team, Hopeson Adorye, has expressed strong confidence in Alan Kyerematen’s United Party (UP) and its potential to cause an electoral upset in Ghana.

Speaking on Ikulcha TV with Kwesi E Baako, Adorye pointed to political developments in Benin as evidence that a third-force movement can succeed.

“If Benin has been able to do it, it’s not far from Ghana. A man who stepped away from the main political party to form his own to win elections,  it’s possible for Alan Kyerematen’s United Party,” he said.

Adorye was referring to Patrice Talon, the President of Benin, who rose to power in 2016 as an independent candidate after breaking away from the dominant political establishment. According to Adorye, Ghana’s political landscape is ripe for a similar shift, where voters are growing increasingly disillusioned with the traditional NPP-NDC duopoly.

He argued that Alan Kyerematen, with his decades of political experience, national appeal, and economic vision, has what it takes to replicate such a victory in Ghana.

While critics argue that third parties often struggle under Ghana’s entrenched political system, Adorye remains optimistic, insisting that “the time for change is now.”
