Human rights advocate Julian McKinglay King has expressed deep concern over the ongoing oppression of people in West Papua, calling on the international community to support the province in its struggle for freedom and justice.
Speaking in an interview with Kwesi E. Baako on Ikulcha Radio/TV, Mr. King described the situation in West Papua as “a humanitarian crisis that deserves urgent global attention.” He emphasized that many indigenous Papuans continue to face violence, discrimination, and restrictions on their basic rights.
“The people of West Papua are being oppressed. They deserve the world’s support” He said.
Mr. King also addressed reports suggesting that he had been involved in supplying ammunition to groups in the region, strongly denying the allegations. He clarified that his work is purely humanitarian, focused on advocacy, education, and drawing attention to the plight of West Papuans.
