Kwesi E Baako has criticized the current state of morning shows, arguing that they have lost their original purpose of fostering serious discussions to shape national discourse.
Speaking on his program on iKulcha TV and Radio Kulcha, Baako singled out media personalities such as Captain, claiming that their approach has “spoiled the image of morning shows.” According to him, the focus has shifted from in-depth analysis and policy discussions to entertainment-driven content and sensationalism.
He emphasized that morning shows were initially designed to provide a platform for informed debate on issues affecting the country, from governance to social development. Baako warned that prioritizing entertainment over substance undermines the role of media in promoting accountability and civic engagement.
