JUST IN: Asiedu Nketia Leads NDC Flagbearer Race, Gap Narrows – Global InfoAnalytics

A recent survey conducted by Global InfoAnalytics points to an increasingly competitive race among individuals eyeing the flagbearer position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2028 elections.

The findings, shared by the Executive Director of the firm, Mussa Dankwah on Monday, April 13, 2026, show that Asiedu Nketia still leads in a “top-of-the-mind” baseline assessment of potential candidates. However, his advantage has reduced notably—from a 16-point lead in the first week to 10 points in the second—indicating growing competition.

In the latest results, Asiedu Nketia garnered 29 percent support, followed by Cassiel Ato Forson with 19 percent. Haruna Iddrisu secured 11 percent, while Julius Debrah and Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang each recorded 8 percent.

The poll also revealed that 24 percent of respondents remain undecided, highlighting uncertainty that could influence the direction of the race.

In comparison, the first week’s poll had Asiedu Nketia leading with 28 percent, with a larger 36 percent of respondents undecided and other contenders trailing behind.

Overall, the survey suggests that although Asiedu Nketia remains the frontrunner, his lead is being increasingly challenged as the contest gradually takes shape, with many still uncertain about who will officially enter the race.
