Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, has warned political players against using the purchase of presidential aircraft and helicopters as partisan propaganda, emphasizing that these purchases are for national security reasons rather than political expediency.

When Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, paid him a courtesy call at the Manhyia Palace after the sad helicopter crash in Obuasi last week that killed eight persons, he offered the warning.
