Chairman Wontumi Is Not Fit To Be The National Chairman Of The NPP, Ghana Needs A Sensible Opposition – Kwesi E Baako

Kwesi E. Baako has questioned the suitability of Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, to continue serving as the party’s National Chairman.

Speaking on his show on Ikulcha Radio/TV, Baako argued that the NPP needs what he described as a “sensible and credible opposition voice”,suggesting that the current leadership structure is failing to meet that standard. According to Baako, recent internal challenges and public controversies surrounding Chairman Wontumi raise concerns about his ability to unify the party and effectively challenge the governing administration.

Baako emphasized that strong and thoughtful opposition leadership is essential for healthy democratic practice, adding that the NPP must “reorganize itself around competent and disciplined leadership if it wants to regain public confidence.”
