BREAKING: OSP, FBI Find No Direct Evidence Of Corruption Against Cecilia Dapaah

According to the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), months of inquiry into the case of former Sanitation Minister Cecilia Abena Dapaah, aided by a parallel FBI investigation in the United States, have not turned up concrete proof of wrongdoing.

Starting in July 2023, the investigation looked at significant sums of money, frozen bank accounts, and priceless objects connected to the former minister and her associates.

The OSP stated in its 2025 half-year report that although there was no concrete proof of corruption at the time, investigators discovered compelling evidence of potential money laundering and financial.

Madam Dapaah has consistently challenged the investigations. Through her lawyers, she described the re-seizure of her money and freezing of her accounts as “unfair” and a violation of her constitutional rights, urging the court to halt the OSP’s actions.

Beyond the corruption probe, the OSP has charged the former minister for failing to declare her income as required by law.

The Office said she ignored a lawful demand to submit her declarations within 30 days, contravening the Special Prosecutor Act.
