Reggae sensation Jahbeloved has waded into the latest issue concerning the call to Kumasi-based artists and residents to boycott 3Music TV, saying they should rather put pressure on the CEO, Baba Sadiq to fire Ezekiel Tetteh, the Head of Programmes.
In a video tweet, also posted on Facebook, the New York-based Reggae star who is originally from Kumasi said 3Music TV is someone’s hard work and and a necessary incentive to the industry, and simply bringing it down on the account of the misguided statement of another who has little to lose is not the best thing to do.

This week, renowned DJ, SlimDeejay led a twitter campaign to boycott the channel as a result of the incessant disrespect shown by the Head of Programmes at the station towards Kumasi-based artists. Mr, Tetteh is said to have posted a series of tweets in the recent past which to many revealed his inner feelings towards artists based in Kumasi, but things came to a head when he sent out this tweet :

Jahbeloved applauded SlimDeejay for being awake and alert to the subtle disrespect and standing up to it, He however pleaded for cooler heads to rule as boycotting the channel, he said is like slapping the dog because the puppy is barking . “Wrong target”, he said,
“I’m extremely proud of SlimDeejay and my Kumasi peeps for identifying the fuckery and nipping it in the bud, Its way past time peeps put some respect on the Oseikrom brand. But lets not punish someone on the account of this ignoramus”, he added,
He further called on the CEO, Baba Abdul Sadiq to issue a statement as a matter of urgency dissociating the brand from the person and rendering an unqualified apology to the people of Kumasi.
