NPP Will Not Remain In Power Forever Sticker Cautions Rampaging Youth

The Ashanti Regional Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Stephen Amoah is urging rioting supporters who are gaining notoriety seizing property and seized attacking supporters of the defeated National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the just ended presidential and parliamentary elections to be reminded that the party will not be in power forever.

“The New Patriotic Party will not remain in power for ever it’s now clear that, change of government is possible in Ghana every 8years. Those party members attacking defeated NDC supporters should note that the NDC supporters will equally attack them in future if the NPP loses power to them” he said.

The acting Ashanti regional organizer of the NPP  in response to the acts purportedly perpetrated by supporters of the NPP in the Asokore Municipal Assembly office by the Asawase NPP youth this morning among other several attacks on defeated NDC supporters in the Kumasi Metropolis, urged them to calm down on their actions.

Speaking in an interview with Ultimate Fm’s Isaac Justice Bediako, he described the acts as criminal which depicts NPP as a violent political party. “Our leader, President elect Nana Akufo Addo is not violent therefore we should be mindful of whatever dose we give to others as political party followers” he warned.

The aftermath of the December 7 elections has been characterized pockets of violence involving footsoldiers of the NPP who are going on a seizing spree including the public toilets and toll booths in parts of the country.

Whilst all billboards of the defeated NDC’s John Dramani Mahama’s and parliamentary candidate in Kumasi metropolis are being defaced, others have declared known party activists persona non grata
