Ackon, Yamin Should Be ‘Bomb’ Targets, Not Okrah- NPP

The Ashanti regional organiser of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has stated that Deputy Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Joseph Yamin and the Regional Minister Mr John Alexander Ackon should have been the bomb targets and not the Deputy Regional Minister Andy Osei Okrah.

According to him, no politician has evil intentions of harming  Andy Osei Okrah he described as  ‘calm and respected’ minister.

He said if anybody plans of shutting or harming NDC outspoken members it would be Mr John Ackon, Mr Yamin, Obimpeh among others and not Mr Okrah who he said is a ‘no powerful politician’.

A bomb was found close to the house of the Deputy Minister’s house on Monday forcing the family to relocate after the bomb was detonated by the anti-terrorism squad of the security service .

But speaking on Abusua FM’s Abusua Nkommo hosted by Kwame Adinkrah, he said the NDC planted their own bomb just to throw dust in the eyes of the public that supporters of NPP plotted the bomb.

According to him, the NDC is noted for notoriety in the country adding that they planted the bomb just to scare electorate in Kumasi from voting during the upcoming elections.

‘It’s not true that somebody planted the bomb, God is watching all of us, he sees all our movements. I wouldn’t say all NDC members are bad nuts, there are good ones, but if you are a Ghanaian whether NPP or NDC who has purposed your mind to create fear and panic, it will not work. If anybody or NPP has any evil motive which is politically induced/activity against firebrand NDC members in the region, Andy Okrah will not be part of that list,  he is a fine man though but he is not a powerful politician to attract a bomb target.

If anybody has any bad plan, names like Joseph Yamin, Sobah, Obimpeh, John Alexander Ackon regional minister will come to mind. Why would he plot bomb there? It’s a matter of NDC members planning to scare people in Kumasi from voting during December elections, because of politics, you want to create panic,’ he claimed.

He entreated Ghanaians to stay calm because the election will not be rigged and no party will be allowed to cause mayhem.
