NPP’s Ahafo Ano South Constituency Chairman Is Dead
Another tragedy has hit the opposition New Patriotic Party after its Constituency Chairman for the Ahafo Ano South West Constituency Chairman was reported dead yesterday.
Mr. Anthony Osei Yaw Akoto was reported dead at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital(KATH) where he was receiving treatment after sustaining multiple injuries from a fatal accident which occurred last week.
The late Constituency Chairman was said to have involved in an accident on Monday when a vehicle he was driving somersaulted several times during a tour in his constituency.
The late chairman, according to sources close to the party, was embarking on a monitoring exercise in the ongoing limited registration exercise.
He was said to have suffered several injuries in the ribs and the neck, and was receiving treatment at the Accident and Emergency Centre at KATH.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, who confirmed the news said, the party would be visiting the constituency tomorrow to meet with the family so that the necessary arrangements could be made.
Mr. Antwi Boasiako said the party would dearly miss the late chairman because he was a hardworking and dedicated chairman who executed his duties expeditiously
