Failure In Mathematics, Integrated Science Deny Students Universities-Collins Dauda
The Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Alhaji Collins Dauda has expressed worry over poor performance of students in Mathematics, Integrated Science and English language in the Asunatifi constituency.
According to the Asunatifi South Member of Parliament (MP), low scores of students in these three subjects have denied several youth in the constituency admissions into various tertiary institutions.
Addressing three communities at Woramumuso in the Brong Ahafo Region, he charged Asunatifi District Director of Education to develop special programmes to support students in these subjects to improve their performances.
‘Without these three subjects it will be difficult for a student to progress in his educational career,’ he said.
ghnewsnow.com Ashanti regional editor Isaac Bediako reports that as part of the Minister’s contribution towards promoting basic education in the district, he donated 1,292 exercise books and 323 mathematical sets to 3 schools in the district yesterday Wednesday.
The beneficiary schools include Woramumuso, Apanimagye and Amanfrom Junior High School (SHS) and Junior High Schools (JHSs) respectively.
