AUDIO: Ghanaian ‘Prophet’ To Host Crusade Against Fulani Herdsmen

The Leader and Founder of Ebenezer Miracle Worship Center in Kumasi Reverend Dr. Ebenezer Opambour Adarkwa Yiadom alias ‘Prophet One’ has condemned the continuous killing of Agogo residents by Fulani herdsmen in the Asante Akyem Agogo North district and its environs in the Ashanti Region.

He has announced plans to host a “mega crusade” at Agogo against cattle owners and Fulani herdsmen in the coming days.

The outspoken preacher expressed disappointment in the various security agencies especially the police command’s inability to eject Fulani herdsmen and their cattle from the farming community.

He called for the immediate arrest of cattle owners who have equipped the herdsmen with guns for protection.

Addressing members of his church on Sunday in Kumasi he wondered where the Fulani herdsmen get their supply of ammunition from.

‘Where did the Fulani herdsmen get the guns from?, have cattle owners advised the herdsmen against maiming and killing of residents, isn’t it appalling that they are killing Agogo women? He quizzed. “Prophet One, I come from Asante Akyem Agogo, if security forces do not act on this menace, am going to host a mega crusade against nefarious activities by the herdsmen,’ he fumed.

Several people have been killed in the community by Fulani herdsmen despite the inauguration of the ‘Operation Cowleg’ by the Ashanti Regional Security Council (REGSEC). ‘Operation Cow Leg’ was launched in 2015 with the aim of evacuating Fulani herdsmen from the community.

The insecurity in the area has compelled farmers mostly women to equip themselves with rifles against herdsmen attacks on their lives and farm crops.
