DCOP John Kudalor Is Ghana’s New IGP

COP, John Kudalor, has been appointed as the Acting Inspector-General of Police by President John Dramani Mahama.

He replaces the Mohmmed Alhassan who has begun his accumulated leave leading to his retirement from the service. Mr. Alhassan was appointed IGP in February 2013.

Mr. Kudalor, until his appointment, was the Director General, Operations, of the Ghana Police Service.

The position of IGP after Mr. Alhassan’s tenure had always been between Mr. Kudalor and COP Rose Bio Atinga, Director General, Administration, Ghana Police Service.

Inside sources say the President settled on Mr. Kudalor due to his near retirement age and commitment to the service.

Madam Rose Bio Atinga, our sources say had been tipped to be appointed but lost out due unknown reasons.
